Here are some B.T.S. shots taken by sir Hansel Mario at 10 Studio during the shoot for Interview section of iCreate Indonesia magz. Got the chance to shoot with actress Rahayu Saraswati, she's a natural in acting out the concept :) We had a wonderful team to work with.

Howdy net lurkers..
Well.. we all know how much we hate it when we can't express our thoughts in words, illustrations or whatever else that works for us. A writer's block so to say, or temporary brain dead for us who are in the creative industry.
Some times ago a close friend of mine, Nez (which happens to be a writer!) asked me a favor to shoot her (no.., not in that violent manner xp ). So we finally managed to arrange one! After a brief but tense discussion, we wound up with a shoot around the theme of hippies and throw a pen and a notebook to the act while at it. The hippies theme somewhat describes
Went to Sigma's workshop last Sunday. Man, have I not been attending one of these things for the few past years. As usual, it was Sir Hansel Mario who invited me to this workshop. So I figured it should be a fun Sunday morning activity kind of thing.. then the twist begins..
It was around 10 am and we were greeted by minions of camera wielding warriors of some 140 strong, lurking around an old dutch cemetery! LOL.. They already started taking pictures when we got there. 6 models provided for that day and each model was being framed by around 20-ish photographers (or even more). Taken by the similar angles and of the same poses! A reminder just struck me about this type of situation is that kept me from going to such workshops. I personally would prefer a much smaller, more intense and personal workshop. Say.. for a party of 20 max? even the less the better. Ya, well here's some shots taken.
So what I ended up doing was to shoot from a spot where everyone wasn't shooting from. It turned out to be a good exercise for the eye to look at things from the "other side of the moon". So here's some straight out of the camera jpg's cropped afterward.

So, yes.. Let me introduce my very reliable photo assistant goes by the name of Hansel Mario Widjaja. The guy recently had his photograph exhibited for a program promoting the city of Jakarta called "Bingkai Jakarta" or Framing Jakarta in English. He's among the 50 lucky talented people who gets their photo exhibited on that event.. (Bravo..). Here's some pics I took at the exhibition.

What happened if one doesn't do anything whilst waiting for fortune to come? I guess nothing will come, or some things can decline when left unattended. Anyway, I see myself getting lazier by the day, for instance, delaying myself in creating this "overdue" blog (which was supposed to be up a couple of months ago). Another is my photography life......
A little about my "visual art realm", I first submerged into the ocean of photography industry some few years back. Like any other noobs, I've always had my flame burning to the max (well.. at least for the first 2 years run -_- ) in pursuing greater photographic skills, creativity, and of course better career in such field. The flame later ignites on a "maintenance-paced" level when the phone starts ringing constantly and gigs are commencing frequently. Or so to say.. I was in a constant motion and not putting up more efforts to strengthen my career nor giving less. Well, the bad thing is.. that is not the case since mid-year of 2010. I've got to admit that since then, I have found myself neglecting my photography more and more. In result, well yeah.. you guessed it right, a direct declining slide down the hill (face-palm).
I had soon begin to realize this when the number of photo gigs or bookings are gradually diminishing, but it was not something to regret about.. no. By all means, this experience has given me a good amount of time to take a breather and to overview on what I have and have not done in supporting my photography (except the fact that my wallet also gradually thinning due to this.. LOL!).
So, yeah.. I guess something can derive from not doing anything.. degradation. Sounding as nerdy as ever, I'd say.. It's time to re-ignite the flames!
